EmmySoft and Meffert Software successfully sold - All jobs secured

Within just a few weeks, a structured investor process has secured continuation solutions for Düsseldorf-based EmmySoft GmbH and its subsidiary, Meffert Software GmbH & Co. KG, ensuring that all jobs have been preserved. EmmySoft was sold to a group of experienced HR-tech investors, while Meffert Software was acquired by Patricia Meffert, who had served as the company's managing director prior to its acquisition by EmmySoft on January 1, 2024. EmmySoft GmbH filed for insolvency on May 28, 2026. The Düsseldorf District Court opened insolvency proceedings on August 1, 2026, and appointed attorney Dr. David Georg (LL.M.) of KebekusPartner as insolvency administrator. The sales were successfully completed just days after the proceedings began. The investor process for EmmySoft GmbH and its subsidiaries—Wiesbaden-based Meffert Software GmbH & Co. KG and Zurich-based Softfactors AG—was initiated during the preliminary insolvency phase and managed by Sven Pursche, Partner, and Yili Westhausen, Senior Associate, at Düsseldorf-based novaerion GmbH.

EmmySoft GmbH offers an AI-powered software platform for the digitization and optimization of recruiting processes. A sustainable continuation solution for the company was secured through a group of experienced HR-tech investors. EmmySoft will continue to operate independently under its new owners. Christian Rampelt, who was previously part of the EmmySoft management team, will take on responsibility for day-to-day operations as the sole managing director, working alongside the existing operational management team. This acquisition lays the foundation for the further development of both the software platform and the company. All jobs at EmmySoft have been preserved.

An independent continuation solution was also found for Meffert Software GmbH & Co. KG, a modern, forward-looking provider of recruiting software for personnel consultants and companies that has been established for over 30 years. The company, which had been a wholly-owned subsidiary of EmmySoft GmbH since January 1, 2024, was acquired by Patricia Meffert and will be managed by her and Christoph Meffert. Both had served as managing directors of Meffert Software prior to the merger with EmmySoft and subsequently held management roles at EmmySoft as well. All jobs at Meffert Software have been preserved.
