The Bonefeld-based company “Biovegan GmbH” (“Biovegan”) is a food manufacturer specializing in vegan and gluten-free organic products. The product portfolio ranges from baking mixes and ingredients to desserts and sustainable vanilla products. Biovegan also offers under the PURYA brand! products containing vegetable protein.
In view of transformative processes in the food industry and general economic challenges, Biovegan aimed at restructuring in self-administration. Restructuring advice was provided by the law firm Grub Brugger from Stuttgart. Dr. Alexander Jüchser from Lieser Rechtsanwälte acted as trustee. In the meantime, the procedure has been lifted under self-administration. On the part of novaerion, Sven Pursche took over both restructuring and restructuring management (CEO/ CRO).
Through a successfully completed M&A process, the Zimmermann family was won over as an investor. The new managing director Karsten Lindlein, former head of sales at Biovegan, together with the new shareholders and the existing customer network, will continue to stabilize the company and successfully position it for the future.
