Starting in March 2023, private investors will join the traditional company Peter Ruppel GmbH & Co. KG, a specialist in high-quality shop furnishings, as new shareholders under the leadership of AURONA Capital GmbH, Munich. This secures the future of the family business based in Lauda-Königshofen. AURONA was supported by novaerion GmbH from Düsseldorf under the leadership of Dr. André Schröer.
In cooperation with the administration, it was possible to hand over the company to the new shareholders as part of an insolvency plan and to secure the majority of the 160 jobs.
The traditional shop builder, who had come under economic pressure due to the corona crisis and the Ukraine war, had filed for protective shield proceedings in September 2022. With Thomas Schulte, the previous interim manager is temporarily available as sole managing director for the new shareholder; the company plans a turnover of around 18.5 MEUR in 2023 with around 140 employees.
”We are very pleased that, after intensive efforts and effective negotiations, we were able to support a group of investors with industry know-how to complete the acquisition of Peter Ruppel,” says Dr. André Schröer, partner at novaerion. The future investors have been awarded the contract following agreement with the administrators and creditors. The insolvency plan has already been approved by AG Mosbach and the proceedings have been lifted. Schröer particularly highlights the goal-oriented and constructive cooperation with IG Metall and the works council, which supports both necessary tariff restrictions and the transfer of 20 employees to a transfer company — a key success factor for a quick and smooth takeover.

The buyer received employment law advice from law firm 764 from Düsseldorf, in particular Mr. Tobias Frommhold.
