With the opening of insolvency proceedings on 01.09.2024, Kurt Schuhmacher Industriemontagen GmbH & Co. KG (“KSI”) was sold to SGS Industrial Services GmbH (“SGS”), thus strengthening SGS' market position in the German economic area.
KSI from Neukirchen-Vluyn has been a reliable partner when it comes to industrial assembly of technical machines and complete systems for more than 50 years.
The takeover was accompanied by Dr. Sebastian Henneke from the Duisburg-based law firm Streitbörger - Insolvency Administration | Restructuring as part of the insolvency proceedings. On the M&A side, Dr. Henneke's team was supported by transformation and transaction consultancy novaerion GmbH from Düsseldorf, in this case Dr. André Schröer and Cornelius Weidmann. In just seven weeks, a continuation solution was developed that secures all 75 KSI jobs, expands SGS's capacities and technical expertise, and enables SGS customers to be served even faster and more flexibly.
